Alan is Shoot Out's technical adviser affectionally known as Doctor Dic (dictionary) as his attention to detail normally ensures everything is word perfect (when he has checked it!) With great ideas and a methodical approach Alan's input is invaluable and you never know we may be able to lure him back as an organiser on the odd weekend but only if he can master the cha cha slide!!
What’s your favourite and most hated food?
Fav - Loved just about every food I’ve tried. (including whale!)
Hated - Ocra (ladies fingers) – it was the texture!
What’s your favourite and most hated song of all time?
Fav – My favourite changes daily.
Hated - Probably Radio by The Corrs – how much were they struggling for inspiration on that one!
What’s your favourite movie/TV programme?
Too many! Local Hero, Highlander, Lord of the Rings for a start. Love Peter Kay stuff on the TV.
What car do you drive and what car would you like to be driving?
VW Polo. Would love to be driving my very first car again for nostalgia!!
What are your pet-hates?
Being late.
What’s your own most annoying habit?
Biting my nails.
What’s your favourite drink at the bar?
A good real ale.
If you had to invite 3 people (alive or dead) to a dinner party, who would you choose and why?
Freddy Flintoff, Shane Warne and Beefy Botham so I could get some good cricketing tips and see which of those two could keep up with Freddy’s champagne intake.
In an ideal world which famous person would you like to sleep with?
Female: Liv Tyler as Eowyn (phwwooorrr!)
Male: Aragorn purely because he’s slept with Eowyn.
If stuck on a desert island, which 3 items would you want to have with you?
My guitar, a bottomless jug of margarita and some factor 35.
What things are you scared of?
Spiders and deadlines.
What first attracts you in a man/women?
Smile and voice.
What’s your idea of the perfect night?
A good dinner in a posh restaurant with friends.
What’s your most treasured item?
My Gibson SG.

Bumping into my girlfriend whilst out shopping with my other girlfriend. Oooops!
