Welcome to the 7th Blackthorn British Skittles Championship homepage.
Winning teams will receive a share of over £6,000 prize money up for grabs plus trophies sponsored by Blackthorn.
Teams that enter will play in regional group rounds and subsequent play-offs to gain qualification to the Grand Finals. There will be three separate events: Men's, Ladies and Mixed. The successful qualifiers, 32 Men's, 16 Ladies and 16 Mixed, will compete in the Grand Finals, which will be staged for the very first time at the Riviera International Conference Centre, Torquay on Saturday 18th September 2010. The new venue promises to provide a "festival of skittles" as it plays host to the Grand Finals themselves as well as the Createanet Singles & Pairs tournament the day before, the biggest tournament of its kind and the ideal "aperitif" to Saturday’s Grand Final. A multitude of accommodation will be available for all participating players and spectators alike and, as ever, entertainment including live acts and disco to be staged until the early hours.
